We seem to have this idea of what are best life looks like to us, and we spend our efforts experiencing that life and the "salvation" that we believe it will bring. Jesus says it's really about your heart, and we can't clean it up ourselves. At our most honest moment we must acknowledge that our natural motivations exlude the acknowledgement of God and His glory. In North America and much of the world, in all walks of life and society people are defining Jesus: a good teacher, an example of suffering, a weak long haired hippy in a dress, a figment of your imagination.
